Motherboard is one of the main components of a system and one cannot run a PC without it so there is no reason to overlook this aspect of PC Build unlike graphics card when the processor has a integrated GPU with it. Talking about choosing the right motherboard, first things first, you have to make clear that you do need to use a high end motherboard for general task such as Media and Web Surfing. Choosing the right motherboard is very easy task and does not requires a lot of effort. If you have 

• Choose the Processor which would be working for the system, just find the Chipset and Socket with which the processor is compatible, then find the motherboard which has the same configuration and you are done. 

For e.g. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is Compatible with motherboards with AM4 Socket and the chipset which are B450 and x570 motherboard features, but there is a catch. Although x570 is capable of running Ryzen 5 3600 processor, it is not a good idea to look for this particular motherboard when there is a motherboard like B450 which is more affordable motherboard compatible with the same processor.
The other aspects to keep in mind are the number of RAM Slots, Maximum Clock Speed and Configuration. PCIe Slots compatibility with graphics card and NVME M.2 slots if you want to use M.2 SSD. 

Important Things to Keep Note of.

So the technical aspects might seem simple but there are some other stuff to keep in Mind while working with the motherboard. Since there are many small components embedded which run on very low current and voltage, the amount of static current developed by human can cause damage to motherboard if touched ungrounded. 

While working with motherboard make sure that your feet are grounded or else you are wearing anti-static wrist strap to avoid damages.

Use of a High Quality PSU is very important to prevent any damage due to current and also the source should be grounded as well or you might cause cumulative damage to the motherboard while usage.

The Socket Pins of CPU are very fragile part and extreme care should be taken while installing the Processor.
